The problem
Small teams bounce between a doc editor, a task board and chat. DevSync puts shared documents and tasks in one place with real permissions.
How I approached it
- 1
Model the data
A PostgreSQL schema and data-access layer in Prisma.
- 2
Make it live
Socket.io rooms for real-time document co-editing and Kanban updates.
- 3
Harden the API
JWT auth, RBAC, Zod validation and centralised error handling, with Jest/Supertest integration suites across auth, roles and task workflows.
What I built
- An Express REST API in TypeScript behind a Next.js client.
The result
A collaborative workspace whose permission rules are covered by tests, not just by UI.
